After a recent update my phone started saying it was charging the battery when it was not plugged in.

Kind of annoying to have the charging icon going all day long. My phone actually said it had charged to 100% when in reality it had less than 30% left. The thing isn't even plugged in and it does this. It all started the day my phone downloaded and installed the newest update. Is there any way to correct this?

Is that the thing where you press the home button, down volume and power button all at once?

Another fun thing... the phone won't connect to my PC via the USB anymore either.

Thank you for reaching out to the forum. I can understand your concern towards the charging percentage being incorrectly displayed. Have you considered doing a soft reset in which you hold down the power button and the volume down key. In addition, is the battery indicator showing the same information that is present within the Settings > Battery?
