I cannot seem to fix this and I am completely irritated by this. This is the second upgrade (both of which I did not want) and my phone is horribly messed up from the first upgrade and now it won't work because of the second.

Try a system cache clear. If that doesn't work, back everything up, remove the SD card to be on the safe side, and do a factory reset. See this thread for more info.:
