What a joke of an ordering system!!

Ordered at 5 AM EST July 15th.

got confirmation. at 5 am. hadnt received shipping confirmation.

Called rep today, she said they didnt internally ok order until later that evening. So over 12 horus passed, while it looks like others who ordered later were getting shipping confirmations. They now said it won't be shipped until 7/23. Which means I won't get it until Monday 7/26. This is outrageous.

I WILL NEVER ORDER AGAIN ONLINE. What a poor system they run here, and I'm sure there are plenty others who did the same as me, and aren't going to get their phone when expected.

I am totally disgusted with this system.

And to think they were all over Apple and AT&T for the way they handled their pre orderers for the Iphone 4 Verizon should be very embarrassed.

I'm with you placed my order at 0230 only to find out this morning it would not shipped until 07/23 then she tries to giver me $100 credit is that suppose to make it all right???

A $100 credit is a pretty good compensation for their mistake. I'd take it and run with it, sure it sucks that you aren't going to have your phone right away, but you are getting compensation. If you call back you might even get them to upgrade you to Saturday Priority Overnight Delivery and a free car charger.

VZW definitely kicked the pooch on this one, but at least they are compensating customers rather than AT&T's Sucks to be you response.

I would take the credit! I can tell you, I was offered nothing. Well....I got several "I'm really sorry's" but that was it!

I stayed up to be one of the first to order and have got nothing but a complete run around.

I had trouble ordering online also, ended up calling to get mine placed. I agree that I'd rather have the phone right away than a week later with the $100, but then I think about it and realistically it's a better deal for MOST, not everyone though, to wait a week to save $100. I know that it's not going to be fun though. Good luck!

I'm taking the deal but that wont help me feel better about the way Verizon dealt with the shipping problems...They should have stopped the orders placed after a certain time and fill the orders that where stuck in the system......Then called or email and said sorry you will have your phone on Monday or Tuesday for that....

i have the same problem with verizon web order.
i orderd at 4am on the 15th. got the recipt by e-mail
didnt recieve tracking information. nothing till now.
called verizon at 8am the csr say it was processed and told me it will arrive today gave me number of fed-ex saying check with them and didnt gave me tracking number.
called fed-ex 8:30am and they told me nothing is comming from verizon to my address.
called customer service again they made me hold for few min and told me its on back order and i ordered after 6pm which i currected her it was at 4 am. also told her other people ordered hours later then i did recieved them already and its rediculous whats happening.
she made me hold for few more min then she told me it will be processed and it will arrive on monday.
whats the point of getting over night delivery if its gona take 4 days.
why did the lady telling me it will arrive today when i called at 8am.
. i suggest calling them again and get the manager so at least get it on this monday not next.
over all it was not a plsent experiance.
ps also found a monthly recurent charge on my account for service i didnt order and it was charged for over a year. you could also say it not a good 2 day for me because of verizon.

The tracking number only becomes available for tracking once FEDEX as picked up the package from our distribution centers. At this point FEDEX is in possession of the package, and all of their systems will be updated to reflect the anticipated delivery times, and the most up to date information. Please do not cancel an order because you are unable to track the order. Once a tracking number is assigned to your shipment, we will email you the tracking information. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Actually $100 credit on a $200 product is pretty generous. It's outrageously generous coming from a wireless provider. I am no pushover when it comes to Verizon, but if I understand you correctly, it sure seems like they went the extra mile for you to make it right. You are going to have this phone for the next two years. Wait a week, get a free month of service, not too bad a deal in my book.

Their so called ordering system is THE WORSE EVER !!!... let me repeat.. WORSE EVER ON THE ENTIRE PLANET !!! Saying it is a joke is being nice.. I have SEVERAL other choice words I would call it...joke is NOT one of them.... Customer service is just as bad.. Internet Sales is the WORST EVER !!!

I'm sorry... so far the Droid X release has been handled far worst than the Iphone4 pre order.

With Apple/ATT the systems over loaded and crashed. If you didn't get through to place an order, you knew you were SOL. They didn't allow customers to place orders, process our payments, email us confirmations then backorder the shipments without any type of notification that our orders have been delayed.
