Does anyone know if Moto Assist will work (read messages while driving) if I use Verizon Messenger instead of the stock text message app on my Droid Maxx?

It automatically replies to texts when you’re driving, silencs your ringer during meetings, and conserves your battery when it runs low! I reviewed the Owner's Manual for this device, and currently this service is only available for text messages.
