Ellipses tablet, no service!!

Just got a new tablet and had it activated yesterday morning. Once I got home, I just opened up to my tablet home screen, and where it usually says Verizon Wireless, it says "no service". If I view my Verizon account, it says that the tablet is activated. I tried turning off the tablet, taking out the Sim card , putting it back in and turn on the tablet again. Then it said that there was no Sim card. I turned the tablet off for the day and when I checked it again today, it no longer said " no Sim card" but it said "no service" again. When I check the status of my tablet, it says that The service state is "out of service" and the Mobile network state is "disconnected". It can't be that Im in an area with no service because I have a Droid Ultra and the network works just fine.

PLEASE HELP!!! and thank you in advance

sounds like a bad sim card. you can get a new card for free at any verizon corporate store. don't go to a 3rd party retailer, or they may try to charge you for one.

Does your Droid Ultra say 3G or 4G LTE? If 3G, the Ellipsis tablet will not work. YOu have to have 4G LTE for the tablet to work.

My phone was on 3g cause I was using WiFi. I turned off the WiFi and it went to the 4g LTE with no problems

Then you need to call technical support to see if there is a problem with the device. 1-800-922-0204.

I will probably take it to Verizon later just so that I don't mess anything up. Thank you for the help though

got one for xmas, having problems connecting. this is my 2nd one. going back to store once again!

As poor as the ellipsis tab insofar as performance goes, the less than 5GB of usuable app storage, the outdated android version (4.2 jellybean, where current version is 4.4.2 kitkat), the outdated/slower bluetooth version (3.0 where 4.0 is current), the CPU that struggles, the low end, non HD graphics (720p), the lack of wireless charging capability, etc

I would return it, get a nexus 7 2013 lte, put your Verizon Sim (may need resizing) in it and call it a day.

The ellipsis is a garbage low end 7" tab

I am happy with the Ellipsis 7, the only probably is the cellular capability. Just came from Verizon and while I was there, the connect was never lost. The representative just changrd the Sim card to be sure

I have the same problem with my Ellipses 7. I am contacting support right now to see what they say, and I will post the outcome. Now for the rest of you, other tablets on the market have nothing to do with this post. Telling some one they should have gotten a different device is pointless. If your comment doesn't pertain the original post, kindly go away as you are useless. Further more this idea that buying a lower end device means it shouldn't work is idiotic. No the Ellipses is not a flag ship device, however that doesn't mean it should stop working. That's like saying because you bought a Honda instead of a Mercedes its ok that the engine fell out.

Considering this post is six months old, and you are not the original poster your whole post is non sequitur.

The quality of a Mercedes is far superior to a Honda. I would not expect the engine to fall out of the Mercedes, but a Honda is not top end not even in the same class. So comparisons are relevant

The Elipisis tablet is low end. Another poster showed the specs.

The tablet is no Nexus 2013 (I am replying on one) and it can not hold a candle to either my IPad with retina display, or the iPad mini with retina display. The old saying of you get what you pay for is very accurate in this case.

Anyone can post their opinion and should not be told not to post. Especially on a post they themselves did not start.
