Unlock phone with Verizon

Hello,

I am about to buy an unlock phone, but I am not a client of Verizon, well I was on another carrier and my prepaid account got cancelled. So I want to move to Verizon, but I want to have a prepaid plan and use my unlock phone. Is there any way that I can do it? What would be the easest way?

 

Can I use the a verizon plan without buying another new phone?

You might be able to use the unlocked phone as long as its a CDMA device. But there are also restrictions on what types of devices can be activated on Prepay plans.

 

Your device can not  be:

 

• PDAs/BlackBerrys
• PTT (Push To Talk)
• PC Cards
• HTML browser devices
• Handsets with Dashboard
• Handsets restricted to Nationwide Pricing
