No text/email alert sounds, but ringer works

Help? My phone is no longer making a noise when I receive a text (or any data). The sample sounds also do not work. The ironic thing is that the sample ringtones do work. I have checked and the do not disturb button is NOT on, mute is NOT on, and I tried to reset. Any advice?

I'm sorry your device isn't making any sound when you receive a text.

Let's get this addressed!  Please delete all old messages. You mentioned a reset. Which reset did you do? Pls try this network reset and retest: http://bit.ly/UJniES
