Contract To End October

My contract is up in October and I wish to stop using the service, I am doing away with my cellphone! I can not afford the $70.00 per month bill when I am luck to only use the phone minutes of maybe 5 to 10 per month! I hear it is very hard to get out of the contract? Ends in October and I have to pay till the end of the year? What is up with that? When your contract is done you should have the right to leave! NO QUESTIONS ASKED! Any suggestions to prepare me for this issue!

First of all, you can leave at any time. If you leave prior to completing your contract, you will pay an ETF.

If you leave after completing your contract, you will not have an ETF. When you leave, they may ask you questions about why you choose to leave, but you have no obligation to answer those questions.
