Account holder question

I'm going to upgrade to Iphone 4s from my current LG V2. I decide to buy the phone from craigslist and its already on verizon network. My question is, if we both go to a Verizon wireless store, will I need the authorization from my account holder, since I'm just a member? Also would I be able to keep the rates at which I currently have which is 10 bucks just for my line, if I just text and call and not doing any fancy data plan?

Account owner will need to be present to authorize the change in the plan.  A data plan is required when activating a smartphone on the Verizon Wireless network.  The individual tiered data starts at $30 for 2 GB.  This will be in addition to the $10 you currently have for your line.
