My Droid Maxx turns itself off. I can find no rhyme or reason as to why or when it does it. Am I wrong to think it should stay on until I turn it off? It has stayed on fine for almost 2 years and now it doesn't. Help! Thank you

Check the sleep policy for wifi. Settings > wireless & networks > wireless settings > menu > advanced > sleep policy.
Your phone might have a slightly different path to get to the same location. It should be under the Wireless settings.
Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep is set to Always
It sounds like the Maxx may have a mind of it's own, but we want to make sure we get the WiFi to stay on. Have you recently installed any new apps that may possibly affect WiFi?Has the Maxx been soft reset (power off/on). I don't believe I installed any new apps right before the problem started, but I wouldn't swear to it. I have powered it off and on several times but it doesn't seem to make any change in the behavior. I have rebooted in safe mode. It sometimes stays connected for an hour or so before it turns off. I will watch and update with what its mind elects to do!

WiFi stayed connected for 3 hours in safe mode so I suspect you are correct it is an app causing the problem. Is there any way to know which one or just uninstall everything that has been added recently?
