photos not sending over wifi

This happened before to me, and I forgot how I fixed it, so...if I try to send a picture by text through wifi, it does not go through. I have to take my phone off wifi in order for the picture to go through. Not sure if this applies to email. And its not only my wifi at home, its the wifi at work too. Whats the fix?

Picture texts won't send or receive over wi-fi, they require a cellular connection.  They count against your text package, though, not your data package.
