Being Charge for MB

Hi Verizon user.

Just today when i got home from work, I came online to check my Bill Statement to see it was $213 dollar. 30 dollar more then what i normaly Pay. I broke the bills into 4, Cause there 4 phones as i first notcie My dad phone was being charge with Premium TXT Messaging. After reading through the forums i just got done blocking it off my dad phone.

Breaking it down to my sis phone. looking at her statements. i see $13 next to MB. I have ask her many time, what she keep doing. she reply with *nothing i don't even know what MB is. After telling her what MB is for. she reply with * i don't even go on mobie web, or look for ringtone, or anything like that. i believe her cause i went throught her phones n nothing was found. no App. was download no ringtone was download. the only ringtone was on her phone was the one i send her through text. she using a LG VENUS

Are her ringtones on her phone being chanrge for MBs?

she pic text a lot. but it wouldnt add up to $13. that just Crazy

not just that, my phone and also my mom phone was being charge with 1.99. Im so getting Tired of Verizon chargeing US for MBs which we got no IDEA what we being charge for.

Picture texting and Mobile instant messaging usually shows up as data charges. Also if you have backup assistant, i have heard that a lot of people get charged when it starts backing up contacts.

To know what you are getting charged for you will need to call Customer Service for the break down of charges.

Picture messaging will not incur mb charges. some downloads (games and features) will charge MB's for when they are connected to the network for updating sending/receiving data. remember anytime on your phone you see a little phone icon with a right and left arrow your transmitting/receiving data. the main causes of data charges are for the mobile web and browsing through the get it now menu also previewing items through the get it now menu will charge MB also. you can dial #3282 on your phone and it will let you know how much data has been used on your phone it will also let you know the current messaging usage. if you want customer care can put blocks on the account to prevent mb charges but in order to block all mb charges you will need to block picture messaging also.

I've also been getting charged $1.99 for MB for the past couple of months. I have the backup assistant app but I knew I shouldn't be getting charged for it since I'm the only one on the account. I called Verizon today and they said that the charges where coming through at 1 am going to some website through Mobile Web that I don't even access. The rep told me the website address and I looked it up and it's in some foreign language. I don't use mobile web cuz I know they charge and I definately wouldn't use it to go to a webstie that i can't even read. The rep credited me for two of the months but I don't know where these charges are coming from if I'm not accessing the web.

Is it possible that there could be a glitch in the system where I'm getting charged for someone elses charges?

I'm really confused about this MB charge. Is this a new thing? My husband recently bought a new phone and he's being charged for MB usage. The only things he did in the last couple of months was e-mail some pics to his e-mail address and received and sent about 5 text messages. I understand the charges for the texts and the pics. They are about $.20 a pop. But now there's this MB charge? It seems like Verizon is double charging for these actions. A ringtone used to be a flat charge, but from what I understand this MB charge is on top of the other charges. What the heck? I know that I need to call Verizon, but I thought maybe someone here might know something about it.
