Dropped calls on iPhone 5

I have two iPhone 5s. One never drops a call. The other drops calls constantly when I am at home. I get the "Extended" message at the top of the screen on the phone that drops calls (instead of "Verizon"). How is it possible that two phones of the same type get such different coverage in the same house? What can be done about it short of moving? Claude

Hi Sandlapper1973,

That's very strange! If you have to identical device, both should work in a very similar way. Does the device encountering service issues have a particular protective case? If so, please remove it and test. If issue is resolved the case is interfering with the signal and must be removed to resolve the issue. If this is not the case, remove the SIM card http://bit.ly/VaBz1N for 30 seconds to reprogram the device with our network and test. Keep us posted.

We got a new phone at the Apple Store and it seems to be working better. Will let you know if that changes. Thanks for the reply.
