Headphones

I have headphones with 2.5mm jack so the adapter issue does not apply.  The headphones work in other handsets.

They do not work in my my 8830.  They did work in my old 8830

 

any help?

Do you have sound/music w/out the headphones?  When you plug the headphones in, does your phone go silent like it's transferring the sound to your headphones or continue to play through the speaker(s) on your device?  Can you be a little more specific?  Have you tried a new set of headphones, a different adapter, or possibly purchasing some Bluetooth headphones and see if that works??
