Hi. We use an emergency notification service at my work. One of our users has their phone number registered but can't receive SMS messages. The messages are sent using the @vtext.com gateway. The user could not receive messages on our old notification system either. In trying to troubleshoot, I sent several messages to their 10digitnumber@vtext.com and 10digitnumber@vzwpix.com addresses, but they only received the message sent to the @vzwpix.com address. Since our notification service only uses @vtext.com, this is an issue. I had considered simply having them register their phone using the @vzwpix.com address, but the emails that the system sends generally include extra information and would probably either cut off the message prematurely or the message just wouldn't go through at all. I will be testing this in a minute.
Are there any further troubleshooting steps we can try?
