Droid Razr HD Activation Problems

I recently purchased a Droid Razr HD from Best Buy Mobile. Now, I am having trouble activating it. It says "Please wait until the phone has been activated". Can anyone help me resolve this issue? I've tried contacting customer service/tech support. They were of no help! I really need to be able to use my phone. Thanks!

Did Verizon Customer Service give you a reason why they couldn't help you? If you have an active account with Verizon and the phone is a legitimate Verizon phone and you have a SIM then they should have been able to activate the phone. Try going into a Verizon Corporate store or to a Best Buy store to get it activated.

That's an awesome device choice, rnduke511. I do hope you've had success with activating your new phone since you originally posted. I know how important having a working phone is. It's pretty normal to see that message for a few minutes when you first put the SIM card into the Razr and power it on. But it will go away when the SIM activation completes in the network. Sometimes if trouble continues, it may mean that you need to activate the SIM card and Device ID in My Verizon http://vz.to/186e0Pr and power cycle the device to get going. Also, be sure that your previous device is powered down or on Airplane Mode so it's not interfering with the new phone's network connection. Keep us posted with your zipcode and any error messages you're receiving if you are still running into trouble with the activation, along with the make/model you were switching from.

Try going to My Verizon on a computer and activate it through your account. It will ask you for a EID number (it's on the inside of your phone or the documentation you received from Best Buy). This is the easiest method for me and I've done it with numerous smartphones. Good Luck!

Had similar issues with my new Moto X, after hearing from telephone/chat support for 6 days that it was an issue with the compatibility of my "plan" with the "Edge" program, actually went to the local Verizon Store, got a new SIM Card, and it finally activated.

Wouldn't think it would be the size of the Card as they went to the smaller size Nano but it might be but I feel the same Glad it's Working..

I would Like to Add it would be Nice if there was Special Place set for the Moto X it is a phone of it's own Not really a Razr or in the Razr Family i feel )) But this is just a suggestion! If there's a place already set for Moto X.! Disregard this that I suggested :smileyhappy: b33

Yea i noticed that as well I'm kind of wondering if it's fear of the phone being a Razr Like type which when you look at it) It does resemble the some of the same traits I looked one over at our Local Store and one thing that definitely stands out for me and would make the purchase of getting one easier over the new Droid Ultra's is that the Fact of were the Sim Card is Located.

On the Moto X it has a Nano Slot on the side of it you open it and put the Card in Just about in the same manor as the Original Razr.. On the new Ultra's the Card rest's in the Volume toggle (( http://goo.gl/FGHU5x )) BudOne.! Take a Very Close Look at how the Nano Sim sits in the Holder if not watched carefully when installing the card it can slip right through the Tray and almost did on the Rep that was showing it Too me.. Too me it was not a well thought of design..
