Whats the deal here? Why are my posts being deleted? My SAMSUNG s4 is stuck at 66% of a system update for more than an hour now, my phone is unusable!!!!
If you look at my account you know who I am, why is this being deleted?
Try taking it in a store or call customer service from another phone. 8009220204 or *611 from a friends vzw cell.
I saw the earlier posts, and this is what I noticed. First one had private information. Second one was duplicate of the first. You might want to read the that you had to agree when you signed up for the forum.
actually the 2nd one did not include private info, the phone number was blacked out. so here I sit with my issue unresolved
I wrote the second one was a duplicate even if the phone number was blacked out.
Sometimes OS updates freezes the phone during the install process for reasons I do not understand. Just shut the phone off, remove the battery, reinstall the battery turn the phone back on and you are back in business, nothing lost. Attempt to do the upgrade at a later time. For what its worth I do a factory reset prior to installing any OS update. Makes the update process go smoother and will eliminate all app conflicts later on since there are none on the phone.
I see im not the only one having an issue updating to the new update. I will just wait it out and see if maybe they push it out OTA instead of having us connect to a computer and download it through kies or the verizon software update program.
So i got my update installed. Make sure when you do it take the sim card out and boot up the phone. I also was plugging my phone into a USB port in the front of my case. Plug the cable into a port that is on your motherboard if you can. The front ports on a tower don't put out as much power. If you are on a laptop try removing some of the unneeded peripherals you may have plugged into the USB ports. Hope this helps and it helps the OP get the update installed.
jwdominick, let's get this issue resolved for you. Are you still unsuccessful with updating the software on your device? If so, this may be a memory capacity issue. I reccommend that you delete any unwanted applications, text messages, call logs, and e-mails from your device. You will then need to power your device off/on to soft reset it and try to update the software again. Keep us posted. LasinaH_VZWFollow us on Twitter @VZWSupport
