Pop up error message "something is wrong, please wait a moment and try again"

Currently have a razr Maxx HD. Over the last few days I have been getting an error message that will pop up on the screen that says, "something is wrong, please wait a moment and try again. If the problem persists, try logging in. If you hit retry it acts as if it is logging in and then gives you the same error message again. I have tried to shut down the phone and reboot, remove sim card and reload, empty cache on several apps. Nothing seems to work at this point. Becoming very frustrated!

Let see why this pop up error comes on your device to ease the frustration! Sounds like you did all the normal steps to try and resolve the issue. Do you have any 3rd party apps that could be interfering with your login process? Are you able to login on a computer without any errors? Check your device to see if any app is interfering and try ending to reaccess and login to your account.

I can't even get access to my phone: when I enter my password at the initial screen it says "Sorry,Try Again"...I"m completely locked out. Verizon Customer Service Live Chat can't figure it out and neither can the staff at the local Verizon store. They can't even do a wipe out and start over because that requires that my password be inserted in that process ! ! ! I'd think it was just me and my phone, but another man came into the store while I was there and he was having the same problem. Verizon store personnel tried to contact Customer Service themselves and their phone just dropped the call.

Do you have any idea what is going on?

I think there is a virus or something going haywire in Verizon's "software" -- see my note to the reply that was sent to your original message.

Hello onthecoast. Sorry to hear about your phone. I have a recommended step that might help out. Try logging in to the Google Play Store, (play.google.com) and search for an application called: Android Device Manager. You should be able remote install it to your phone. Once done, open another window, and perform a Google search for Android Device Manager. Login to this site, and look for the 'Lock' button. It will prompt you to enter in a new password, which will replace the one originally set up on the phone. From there, just type the new password on the phone, and you should have access again. Just go to Settings>Security>and update or remove the password. Let us know if this helps out!
