Two Questions.
How do I turn off cellular service while retaining WiFi ?
I am looking to upgrade to an S5. Can my apps be transferred to the S5?
Two options:
slide the notification bar down and you should see a toggle for Mobile Data. If you don't, then tap the overflow menu in the upper right-hand corner (looks like four squares) and you should see it. You can move it to wherever you want in the notification panel by then tapping the Edit button (to the left of the menu button in the top right).
settings > data usage > mobile data (ensure it's unchecked)
In your phones setting you will see a toggle for Cellular. Simple click it on or off.
Since this is an android device, when you go to another android device the Google Apps are all available after you sign in to the phone with your Gmail account.
Under Play store, My APPS, there is a list of apps not on this device option. You click them and wham you get them on that device.
You can also do this from the web at Google's Play store after you log in to the Gmail account.
Good Luck
I have looked four times for a setting like this and cannot find it (4.4.2). A search in the user PDF does not yield this setting. Can you be more specific about where this setting is?
Thanks for your help.
Does doing this turn off cellular service? I am concerned about huge fees/charges in the Caribbean.
