My Samsung Galaxy S III stopped receiving emails on Sunday. I have hit the refresh and nothing. I can send emails, but can't receive any.
I believe I have checked all the settings, but it still doesn't work.
Please HELP!!
Flutter_55, Help has arrived! Have you attempted to remove the e-mail address from the device and re-add it? This usually helps re-sync the e-mail settings. It is only happening to my verizon email, not gmail. I just removed the verizon email and tried adding it back in. NOW it is unable to connect to server (-ERR [AUTH] Authentication failed).
So now what do I do?
And yes about a week ago there was an update done.

Are you able to access the email from your PC, or do you get the same error? Did you download the email application from the Play Store, or are you using the email application that came on the device? Lastly, have you checked the push settings on the email? I kept trying to get my email to work. Still nothing. So I stopped by a Verizon store to see if they could help me. He told me it wasn't a cellphone issue, meaning Verizon Wireless problem...it was a Verizon.net problem. And that I needed to call them or log into my email account on my laptop and check my settings there. So I started to leave the Verizon store and went and sat in my car. I tried adding the email account again. This time when it showed the set ups I entered the passwords in again for the incoming and out going settings. When I did that it finally finished setting up the email. So I am finally able to get new emails in my mobile email.
I am not very impressed with the assistance that was barely received from the Verizon store.
Thank you for trying to help me...all I can say is the Verizon website needs to be improved for easier finding answers to problems such as this.
