I have the Galaxy S4, the voicemail notification will not go away, even though I have cleared all my messages. I have left a new message and deleted it, bit it still will not go away.
We can definitely help get that pesky notification to disappear, smoench. I appreciate the steps you already took too! Let's try this: Dial *86 then press send to access your voicemail (you can also dial the 10-digit mobile number then interrupt the greeting by pressing the pound # key from an alternate phone). Enter your password then press the pound # key again. Press 4 for personal options and follow the prompts to make sure your Message Waiting Indicator is turned ON. If it accidently got turned off while you had a pending voicemail, the phone will not get the notification to turn the indicator off once the message was deleted. If that doesn't help, please let us know if you are using Visual Voicemail on your S4 or any 3rd party voicemail applications. JenniferH_VZW Follow us on Twitter www.twitter.com/vzwsupport
this did NOT do anything... I have spoken with 2 people at Verizon today no one can fix it.... they want me to do a factory reset.. not interested
Smoench, No worries! Lets try this instead. Please go back into those messaging options and turn it off. Then turn your phone off and remove the SIM card for at least 30 seconds. Put the SIM card back in, turn the phone on, and then leave a voicemail for yourself using a different phone. Once that's done use your phone to delete the message and then turn the notification back on. That may just do the trick!SarahO_VZWFollow us on Twitter @VZWSupport
