Closed out my Samsung 4G LTE and got a better model. Problem: my email account is still active on the phone. Before I turn over the phone to a charity, I'd like to erase my email account connection. How do I got about doing that?
In settings look for backup and restore then click factory data reset. Just make sure there's no data you can't afford to lose it wipes the phones internal storage
If your Using Google as your Email, Put the account that is in your old phone into your new phone all your stuff that is Google related will flow into your new, Contacts, Apps and as mentioned other Google related things.. If you have a yahoo account or other enter it in your phone as you did the Google account..
Once you have your New phone set up and running.. remove your SD card from your old phone & run a Full Factory Reset.. That should clear all the Things you had on the phone.. Then I'd remove the Sim Card and power off the phone..
Hope that Helps.. b33
I also need to delete my email account so I'm hoping someone has an answer.
Read the manual since Samsung makes many different models that can use 4G LTE to do a complete system wipe, just to make sure none of your information is still on the phone.
You can also go into the email app and select delete account.
I would just do a full system/device wipe back to bare device state.
Good Luck
Many thanks B33! Erm, how do I find the Full Factory Reset? I just tried looking through all of my features.
Sorry for not replying back got busy.. The above instructions work well but if you'd rather use an alternative here's some Instruction you can use Follow the Link below.. And Good Luck with your new phone..
