confused on how my data is so much when I'm always in wifi

I've only had the phone for 10 days and it it's saying that I have used 8mb of my 1 G. My question is how?  The only time I get on Facebook etc. Is when I'm at home with Wi-Fi. I don't want to be over charged on my data. Does it use data while in Wi-Fi our what is going on so I can fix it. Please help

8 MB over 10 days is not much - in a month that will only be 24 MB - well under your 1GB allowance.  If you received or opened any email while away from wifi, that could easily account for 8MB.  Check the weather while you are out?  Have the GPS enabled at all?  Use Navigation or the browser while out and about and off wifi?  Any of that could use 8 MB.
