Hello all,
I have a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 which is currently under a suspended contract while i am traveling in Europe. I recently bought a German sim from fyve, that runs on the vodafone network.
I have confirmed that my sim is properly activated and i have gotten mms messages from the provider telling me my prepaid is loaded with talk, text and data plan.
To date i have gotten the data plan to work on my phone, but not the talk or text. Below are my current settings.
APN setting
APN: web.vodafone.de
Proxy: Not Set
Port: Not Set
Username: vodafone
Password: vodafone
Server: event.vodafone.de
MMSC: http://139.7.24.1/servlets/mms
multimedia message proxy: 139.7.29.17:80
multimedia message port: not set
MCC: 262
MCN: 02
The rest of the configs are default.
As i mentioned, i can get 3G data through the local network but no voice or text.
under mobile network settings
I can unclick and click mobile data, manipulate global data roaming access, network mode (which is set to global) and Access Point names (APN, as mentioned above) however i can not change network operators. This section is greyed out in the phone and does not let me change it. I am thinking that means the phone is not unlocked, however a verizon representative told me the phone is unlocked for international networks.
Additional Settings
Call settings> Other call settings > current country set to Germany, assisted dialing turned off, auto entry turned on
If anyone can assist me this would be greatly appreciated.
