Scheduled Text on Verizon

Does Verizon have a plan to upgrade the software on the Samsung Galaxy S4 to allow scheduled text? This is a standard on AT&T and since I regularly get up early just to send texts that I have typed the night before, it would be worth considering switching even though I love Verizon. It's frustrating that friends have "shown" me how to send it on their S4 just for me to find out they're with AT&T. I really don't understand why carriers have different options, but this is a game changer (or a sleep changer) for me.

This is a great example of going with the provider which is the best choice for you. It is not always the same choice for all people.:smileyhappy:

Have you looked at 3rd party texting applications to see if they have that functionality?

The interesting thing to me is that the same device with different carriers had different features. People commonly say something like, "look at this or that on my phone" and never mention a carrier. I don't think it's common consumer knowledge that a phone with one carrier would function differently than another carrier (other than reception, coverage, etc). I like Verizon coverage and customer support and thought I was but l buying the same phone as others. It's a letdown.

I've researched 3rd party apps and haven't found anything as good as the off-the-shelf model by other carriers. Some are Beta versions and state the message may not actually go through:(

Is this something that Verizon can change in an upgrade or is it a pipe dream?
