I can't seem to use Backup Assistant Plus.

Every time I try, I get an error message saying "Sorry, there was a problem accessing Backup Assistant Plus. Please try again later." I've tried several times at different times and gotten the same error message. As a result, all my contacts aren't completely uploaded to my brand-new phone. Can anyone help?

I'm sorry you're having so many issues with backup assistance plus erock19. What phone do you have? Did you backup your contact on your previous phone via Backup assistance?

In my experience I have found that Back Up Assistant does not work well with Windows. I have had issues with this before and I just saved all contacts to my Microsoft account, then I had no problems recovering contacts with multiple windows phones.

The Verizon Backup Plus app wreaked havoc on my BlackBerry Q10 when I first got it. Modern phones are all designed to link with cloud-based services. Android, BlackBerry, Windows Phone, and iOS all make extensive use of the cloud and they assume you'll be using it. Some folks who have security concerns avoid it but it takes a lot of work to get any smartphone to operate as designed if you eschew the cloud.

I just switched to the Icon "Nokia 929" from an Iphone. I had a "Trophy" Windows 7 phone a few years ago.

I am running the Developer edition of 8.1 windows phone at this time... Phone came with it. I'm expecting the OTA update to 8.1 any day now.

But All my contact (2400 of them) are still on my iphone. :smileysad:
