Anyone having trouble with their Droid Mini not going back to the home screen?

I have been having an issue with my Droid Mini not going back to the home screen lately. If I use my phone, shut it down, and then go back later it opens up on the screen I was using before I shut it down, or some random screen I had been using. It very rarely opens up on the home screen. ?????
