HTC ONE software update June 5, 2014 MMS issues

Since the lastest software update I have not been able to send or receive pictures with text messages. I never had this issue before, I could send/receive w/out having to turn my mobile data on. Now I'm not able to do with or without it. Anyone else having this issue? So far everything but that is working well...

Yes, I am having the same problem. Verizon, what is the issue? Is it being resolved?

FWIW, someone in another thread suggesting the use of Textra as a replacement Texting app. Maybe ChompSMS? Worth your while perhaps to try a replacement.

Having the exact same problems. I'm online with Verizon agent on this.... hopefully this gets resolved ASAP! So stupid!

Ok... the agent said this: "MMS doesn't go over Wifi. The issue occurs when mobile data is turned off. HTC has reproduced the issue in the current software and is working on a fix in SU5. As a workaround, please advise customer to turn on mobile data to receive/send MMS."

Sounds like they may fix this issue... hopefully!

This is absolutely ridiculous! I cannot afford to have data running 24/7 on 3 phones! VZW better be willing to waive the cost if my plan goes over data for this error!!

Well I wish they would get this fixed... if not I may switch phones as this is super irritating... one of the features I like was the fact that is changed on its own when you sent pix or MMS....

other posters with other devices have had luck powering down their device, removing the sim card, waiting a while, re-inserting and powering back up.

however, this may not be a permanent fix.

In addition - you might also want to go into System | Application manager, scroll to the right. Find ALL heading. Now scroll down till you find Google+. Force stop. Clear Data and Cache. Disable it. Reboot phone.
