Phone Sent Text Message That I Did Not Send

My friend received a text message from me that I did not send. She showed me her phone, that it came from my phone.

I showed, my text messages and that I did not.

When she responded to it, the message did come back to me.

What my phone hacked? Was her phone hacked? What could have caused this?

What model phone are you using? Was this a one time occurrence or has this happened to you in the past? Which text messaging application are you using, the default messaging app that came preloaded on your phone or are you using a downloaded third party messaging app? i have the galaxy s3 mini. i am using the out of the box text message app. this is the first time this has happened.

although i have had issues with my phone not receiving text messages a few times from a few people. i brought my phone into the verizon store and they did a factory reset. This was about a month ago and it did not fix that issue.

It is always possible that someone got ahold of your phone, sent the message and then deleted it from your phone.

rcschnoor, my phone was in my possession the entire time. with only my husband around and i know for a fact that he did not do this.

While I have people tell me that all the time, I also see some of these same people leave their phones on the counter in the next room. This is not in their "possession the entire time" even though they claim it to be. You would be the first person I have EVER seen with their phone in their "possession the entire time". It is simply not the case in most situations.
