Samsung Galaxy S 3 no email after update

I just updated my Samsung Galaxy S3 with the KitKat 4.4.2 update yesterday. Since then I have not received ANY email. I have tried to sync manually, nothing. I have checked to see that the SYNC button has been checked - it is. I have seen other "fixes" but they don't seem to work. Can anyone help me get my email back?? (Not my Gmail - that seems to work fine)

Thank you for the offer to assist in my email issue. It is for my personal email – POP3. I did try to remove the account from the phone, but then I was not able to add it back. I tried deleting the email app – from the home screen this was no problem. From my apps, it still showed that I had email, but wouldn’t do anything. I tried going through settings, but could do nothing with email. I ended up doing a full factory reset and it is now working. Hopefully, it can fixed for everyone else

I am having the same problems. have been looking through all googled fixes but nothing works. Have confirmed all syncs are activated. getting text messages, can make/recieve phone calls, but no emails. Not verizon emails, gmail, or hotmail. All accounts are set up for auto sync, data usage is set to sync, manually hit sync buttons, but no sync. Pretty much a useless piece of hardware now.

I'm having the same issue. It's been three days since I did the update and I haven't received any emails. Looked at all the suggested fixes and nothing is working. So frustrating!! I even updated my password on my pc email then changed it to match on my phone, restarted, and sent a test. Nothing...crap! my gmail is working fine. Wish I never did the update. Help!

I ended up doing a full factory reset after backing up everything. Email is now working!

We know how important it is to have access to your email, especially while on the go. Let's partner together and get your email working once and for all. May I ask is this your personal, work, and/or school email? Also, what type of email is it, like POP3, Microsoft Exchange, IMAP? Have you tried removing the email account from the device, re-setup the device, and retest? If you can share the details then we can assist.

needcoffee, we seen your distresss call. We're here to help. Have you downloaded a 3rd party e-mail application to your device? If so, we recommend that you uninstall that application and power your device off/on to soft reset. Additionally, you will need to delete that e-mail account on your device in settings and then re-add it. Keep us posted.

I am also having problems! when i plug my S III into my laptop to take pictures at work it wont load the USB software and open as a folder. and then my whole laptop bluescreens and then restarts. please help i need this fixed to work.

I would be happy to look into this. Does your S3 device work with other computers? What software is on the Laptop? Were you trying to download pictures from the S3 to your laptop? Does your work prohibit this?

Still having email problems. Deleted accounts as Verizon recommended. Emails start flowing and on day 2 brick again. Do again same result. Groundhog day here! Pretty disappointed Verizon isn't aware of the email issues and working to resolve them. Phone help is like wow we've never heard of this.Really?!!! Some assistance would be appreciated. Who has time for this.

I have not tried it with any other computer. I plug it in to my laptop and nothing happens...then bam my laptop bluescreens and restarts.

I feel your pain..I had the same issues. I have an email acct with veizon and gmail on my phone. Under email settings I took out my verizon acct only and saved it. Then went back in and reentered the same email and passwod. Then i did a restart in my phone and it worked. Not sure if this helps or if youve tried this already. Let me know..

HELP!!!! I have had the same issue with my SIII. No e-mail received for 3 weeks. E-mails has worked fine for months and months. I wasn't entirely sure why I wasn't receiving e-mails but now I suspect it is due to a system update that I accepted... I usually REFUSE SYSTEM UPDATES BECAUSE THEY CAN BE BUGGY!!! HELP!!!!!

You mention removing the account. What account am I removing?

I just removed and the added my earthlink account and e-mail is working so I will monitor the situation.

Hi I ended up going to my settings and deleting my verizon email address..save. Then re-entering it and save. Then do a restart on your phone and it worked..so frustrating.
