Can't connect to wifi for more than a few minutes, if at all ever since 4.4.2 upgrade

Ever since upgrading the Android OS to 4.4.2, wifi is not working. If I can connect, it's only for a minute then it drops; most of the time I cannot connect at all. Is there a patch to fix this? I have never had this problem before, only after installing the upgrade a few days ago.

Hello Felici21, a working phone is super important! Let's get to the bottom of this together. What model Android phone is having the issue? Does this happen on all wifi networks or just one particular home network? Keep us posted!

I don't have my phone with me at the moment to tell you the exact steps. This may help.

Try going into Settings | WiFi. Then press the Menu button and Select Advanced WiFi.

If there's an option to drop weak WiFi points, de-select it. If there is some battery saving option to turn off WiFi, deselect that as well.

Power cycle your phone.

I have a RAZR M. It happens on all wifi networks.

I am also having this issue with the same phone. Tried the suggestion and it is not working. I NEVER had issues but now it won't auto login to any of my saved wifi locations - says they are all too week to use. Feels like Verizon is trying to get more of my $$$ for data.

I had the same problem; after the upgrade to 4.4.2, my WiFi got wonky. Every time I went to a different WiFi network (e.g., home to work and back), I had to power off/on my Droid MAXX HD to connect to any WiFi network again.

Turning off BlueTooth appears to have resolved it. Which isn't that convenient as I use a couple of BlueTooth devices, but at least I have my WiFi back.
