What happened? I can't respond to emails or comment on FB. My keyboard is gone! I can't get it up. I'm on my home computer now and although I looked for updates I can't seem to find any. Has anyone else lost their keyboard function?
My teenage son fixed it. He said he downloaded a new keyboard. I have no idea how he did it.

I'm having the same issue.
I woke up this morning and the keyboard doesn't appear. I can't text, send an email or search the internet.
Verizon Wireless Customer Support - I've tried powering down & restarting twice - didn't work. I've tried Safe Mode and rebooting - three times - nothing! Please provide *detailed* steps to see about getting the keyboard back.
My frustration arrives from the fact that since updating the software on my phone I've had multiple issues. Let me repeat: I've HAD multiple issues on a perfectly good, long-battery life phone. Prior to the update I had NO issues. It was a great phone.
Since the software update I've had many issues the two primary:
1) Battery Drain
2) Keyboard "stalls" before loading in the browser, email, or text pre-loaded applications.
3) Keyboard stalls when typing.

I appreciate all the steps you have taken, Barrister79. This is certainly an odd issue to experience. Please try the following: Settings>Language & input>Select the gear next to LG Keyboard is Hide Keyboard checked? If so, please try unchecking this and try using the keyboard. Have you tried using a different keyboard from the Play Store like Intuitive_Bird?
