My Droid Maxx gives me the option to use emojis when i'm texting but the keyboard doesn't give me the option when i am using apps such as Snap Chat or Social networks. How do i get them?

Oh no! I know emojis can be an important part of the texting experience. When in a particular application, does the application use the standard Droid Maxx keyboard, or does the application come with its own keyboard settings? Have the emojis ever worked in these applications?
