May I use someone else's upgrade who is not on my account?

My sister has an upgrade and I wanted to use it to upgrade my phone. I think this is possible but I'm not 100% sure. She has an iphone 5. I want the lg g3. If she upgrades, can't I switch my number to the lg g3 and have her number put back on the iphone 5?

It is technically possible to use her upgrade as you've described. She would upgrade to LG G3 then reactivate her iPhone 5. That would free the LG G3 to be activated on your mobile number. Keep in mind that the warranty does not transfer but it is possible to do as you are suggesting.

If you are willing to lose the phone warranty and the possibility of having insurance on the phone you just purchased, you could have your sister purchase the phone on her account. I wouldn't recommend it, but it is you and your sister's choice not mine.

Why are you not willing to save the money and purchase the device at the full retail price?

I did not just purchase a phone. I have had an iphone 4s for years now. My

sister has an iphone 5. She also has an upgrade. I want a new phone. She

would by the new phone with her upgrade and then switch my number for hers.

Then she would put her phone number back on her iphone 5. I think this

would work but I wanted to check.
