Not a happy customer

I was with Verizon for several years and spent waayyy too much money with them. I am t@@ired of being ripped off. Trying to cancel this account is like driving in 5 o'clock traffic in NYC. Very, very frustrating. Verizon is not helpful AT all. Don't bother calling any of the numbers, they are all automated and do not give you an option even close to cancelling your account. The best thing to do is go to either a Verizon store, which suck as well or go to Radio Shack, which is where I go for all of my phone issues.

You get what you pay for, especially in wireless. You can save a lot of money vs. Verizon by going with some pre-paid service like MetroPCS, but as soon as you leave a major metro area you phone becomes an unusable paperweight.

Canceling service is easy, provided you're wiling to pay the ETF you agreed to in your contract. In fact, if you really want out you can simply port your number to another carrier and not even tell Verizon. Your final bill will include the ETF you're legally required to pay, and then you're done. It's really not rocket science.
