Integrated messaging not working on tablet

Does anyone know why an Android Tablet will not register properly into Integrated messaging? I simply want to send text messagess from my tablet using home wireless connection. It works fine on a desktop PC.

Each attempt sends back this canned message to my primary cell:

"we were unable to connect your device with Verizon Integrated Messaging Service......"

I'm sorry to see that your table is not able to connect with the messaging service acserrano! Sounds like a compatibility issue. What's your tablet make and model?

My tablet is the Lenovo Ideapad A1; Running Android version 2.3.4

Did you download the app from the Google playstore? Verizon Messages - Android Apps on Google Play

The playstore lists my devices (phone(s), tablet) that I have linked to the playstore, and tells me if the app is compatible with any or all of the devices. I can then send the app to each of the devices as desired.

If you got it directly from Verizon, and the tablet is not a "Verizon" branded tablet (like my Samsung wifi only tablet), getting the app from the playstore may be the best way.
