Message not sent - touch to review the message and try again"

A few days ago I started to receive "Message not sent - touch to review the message and try again" repeatedly. But, the messages were sent and verified received. This all started a few days after the KitKat update - is it related? I visited forums for help - I deleted texts, rebooted, and installed Handcent app but nothing worked. Any help would be appreciated! I am using a Moto X phone

I'm sorry that you have run into this issue, DebbieDi. I appreciate all of the steps you have taken. Does this happen with all contacts? Is the message SMS or MMS? If you "touch to review and try again" does your contact receive a duplicate message?

So far it has happened with all texts I send. The messages are SMS sent via the default app. I haven't actually tried to resend - mostly because I receive a response so I know the text was delivered.

Please let me know if I will lose all of my text messages when I reset the app. I have far too many important messages that I cannot put at risk of losing. Please advise.
