Worked just. Wife accidentally allowed 4.4.4 update. Phone now can only be charge when shutdown. I have already tried resetting the phone to no avail.
Any thoughts would be helpful.

I've done both a hard reset and reboted in safe mode. The problem persists in both situations.

Yes and yes. The phone charges just fine in a powered off mode. It just can't be charged while its turned on.
