razr maxx hd notification sound is muffled after kit kat update?

just got my razr maxx hd updated to kit kat, but the 'facebook pop' notification sound, seems to be a lot softer/muffled after the kit kat patch. i even tried turning off the equalizer, it looks like this is the only notification sound that is a lot softer. The same notification sound on another android device sounds normal.

Hello paul.kim.718. Sorry to hear that the notification alert for Facebook sounds softer than normal. It is very possible that the audio file may have been updated, or changed. Is that sound also found under your notification settings? Do all other tones play normally?

Yup its the sound found in the notification settings, real path is storage/emulated/0/media/audio/notifications. I even took the sound file from my tablet, which sounds right, and tried playing it on the phone, but it still sounds muffled. The other notification sounds are much louder

Thank you for the follow up info, paul.kim718. That is really odd. So even after copying the same file from your tablet, and transferring it over to your phone, the issue persists?

Yep. I've even done the opposite and copied the file from my phone to my tablet and it sounds normal on the tablet

Not only is the sound muffled; the LED lights instantaneously, the disappears when receiving SMS. Vanilla user on Droid razr.

Glad to hear I'm not going crazy with this notification sound thing haha. Bobdennis I have seen other posts with people having issues with notifications, i suggest you download the lightflow app to control the led notifications, you can even do different colors for different types of notifications.
