S5 Email Sync but no emails download

Hi -

Have an S5 running 4.4.2. Had no email issues up until this past weekend but now no emails from my comcast account are downloading to my device. The stock app shows the last sync on 7/18 but when I go into my phone settings, it shows that it was synced just now (per se). I have sent many test messages so I know there are emails on my comcast account on the server. Gmail and everything else seems to be working fine. Thoughts?

Hello bobreyn1990, let's solve this mystery! Was your password for the Comcast email recently changed or updated? The first step I would take is to delete the email account off of the phone and then re-add with the username and password to see if it syncs. Keep us posted if this works.

IT might also be worth checking your Comcast email from your browser to see if the settings have been changed on their end. The settings for forwarding and deleting email from the server may be the problem.

YES passwords can mess up the sync. you need to check both email and the Comcast password.
