I am traveling abroad currently and would like to use my Moto X as a wi-fi only device (thus avoiding ALL international/roaming charges from verizon). My question is, do I need to do anything else besides turning off "Mobile Data"?
Airplane mode and leave it there. You can turn on wifi only as needed to access local wifi hotspots.
