My phone will not hold charge at all and its a bran new phone

remove the battery from your phone for 10 minutes. replace the battery afterwards and try powering up again. if this doesn't work, pull the battery out again, press and hold the power button (without the batter in, remember) for 10 seconds. replace the battery and power up again.
