This is a feature that could conceivably save a life during natural disasters with prolonged power outages, or of someone lost or injured in a remote area. It's not a bell or whistle like a fingerprint scanner, and now it seems to be available on all the other carriers. I purchased the M8 on the Edge program and am paying full price for a phone with a major feature disabled. Can we expect to see this feature enabled in a upcoming update? And yes I know there are third party apps that profess to do the same thing,
