I am getting pretty angry now. Ever since upgrading to kit kat, my note 3 has been all but useless in many areas where my signal was previously fine. Even at home I am often getting no signal or maybe a bar if I am lucky.

I am beyond frustrated at this point. I went from getting great signal and speed in a lot of places. And now things couldn't be worse. Often at home the phone is just "searching for service" Same with a lot of other places. I've tried safe mode, I've tried rebooting the device. Just about everything I can think of. Maybe coming to verizon was a bad idea in the first place.

Have you tried turning the phone off, removing the battery and sim card for a few minutes then putting it back together to see if will connect with the network?

I'm having connection problems, too. It's intermittent, but it happens in certain places. I suspect it's Verizon. I do have the Note 3 as well, as does my boyfriend. But he's on AT&T, and doesn't have this problem. Last night, I couldn't even text from home even though my phone showed that it had signal, while I could call out just fine with my boyfriend's phone.

How about a new sim card?

Haven't gotten myself a new one yet, no. I did put the one from my wife's perfectly working phone and the issue persisted.
