My Android Mini does not receive text messages

I did everything but hard reset, after reading same problem of other post.  It didnt work for them, Had this phone for about 2 months.  How do I know I have the latest update? It says system update available, select to continue.  I select then it says its up to date, but it also says Install defered. Keep getting message "Sorry, text messageing has stopped". Checked th app and it says its disabled since June 14th. Go to app settings, it says its running. I was not going to upgrade, but did anyway, if this dont get fixed I will never use Verizon again. Dummy me for commiting again.

When checking for the latest software, you can confirm your device's current software from Settings>About Phone and view the Android version and System Version. What information displays for you?



Are you unable to receive messages from any of your contacts or just certain numbers? Are you using the default messaging application? If so, please try downloading Verizon Messages or a different message application to see if the issue continues.
