Why haven't the Motorola Droid RAZR Maxx, aquired in August 2012 (Just 2 years ago) SO SLOW!

I don't know what I don't know! But I do know I sprung for Top Devices at that time, made a 2 year commitment, and have a headache from listening to my two college age kids complain about their RAZR's. Too slow... on it's last leg... yada yada. Yes, they have cared for them. No physical damage. Dumped as much as possible to an SD card to free internal memory. Still... complaining! I made a 2 YEAR COMMITTMENT... yet in the final months... the devices are proving unworthy of that commitment?

Unhappy with a 2 month old droid maxx myself. I suppose I can take the blame for not researching the phone more. I assumed (and we all know where that gets us!) That it had a memory card slot but no it only has internal memory. After transferring only what I wanted to keep from my other phone it is being used up at an alarming rate. Sure I can dump things to my cloud or computer, but these are things I want to have on my phone. I guess I am just set in my ways! I liked my memory card!

Sorry I don't have an answer for you, other than to say if your two year commitment is almost up and you replace their phones, take fools advice and research the phones you choose.

Thanks for the feedback. However, if not mishandled, EVERY DEVICE they sell us, with a 2 YEAR COMMITMENT from US, ought to be backed with their assurance that THE DEVICE WILL FUNCTION PROPERLY FOR AT LEAST THE 2 YEARS!

I have had a number of the Droid Razr Maxx's as well as the Maxx HD's and one thing always follows suit on these. They work great, then they slow down almost unbearably. I have found a few reasons for this as well as a couple of fixes (more maintenance items then fixes).

Most of the time on the Maxx's I have looked at and worked on there is one app that is hanging everything up. That is Facebook. You go online on Facebook and it builds up in the cache for facebook until the phone is searching so much cache it slows down the entire phone. First thing to do is to clear the Facebook cache (Settings>Apps>Facebook then clear data and clear cache). You will need to re log back into Facebook after but will lose nothing. The next step is to do a cache wipe. The is on the phone itself and help clear out left over code or commands that pile up on the phone with everyday use as well as updates to apps. After these two steps the phone should be nice and fast again (usually after the FB clear)
