S View screen flashing

Has anyone else had an issue with the Note 3 when using the S View cover? I can see the screen through the cover randomly start flashing on and off. Sometimes to the point it almost fully drains my battery. Other times it only flashes a few seconds then stops. I'm not using KitKat.

Sorry to hear about the trouble with your screen flashing! We definitely want to make sure this is resolved for you. Does this only happen with the S View cover on? Are there any notifications coming in when this happens or apps running? Any damage to the screen or S View cover where it may not be connecting fully? Keep us posted!

Yes it only happens with the S view cover on. It's the only cover I ever use. There's no damage & there's no apps in use. I wonder if it's a roaming issue. Bc the worse instance of it I've seen is in an area with little to no cell service at a friend's house recently. The phone was sitting unattended on the table with no notifications coming in at all, & the screen flashed off an on during the entire visit almost to the point the battery almost died. There's been several other times I've seen it happen but it only did it a few times & stopped.

Thanks for the extra details, inspiremeik. There's a special chip inside the cover that senses when changes occur to your phone, even signal changes, that may be triggering the screen to light up. Did you purchase your S-View Flip Cover from Verizon Wireless, Samsung, or a third party? Which software version do you have on your phone? Settings>About Phone>Build Number.
