KitKat Upgrade a bust to my SG3 phone!!

Ever since KitKat update, my Samsung Galaxy S3's battery is drained in less than 4hrs, with minimal usage. I have managed my apps, and battery usage to ensure it wasn't that. Then, my 3rd party car chargers (x2) no longer work, my wall chargers (x3) no longer work! I have one SG wall charger that works, but does not help me if I am traveling. It has put me in a huge predicament with my job and family. Help!

The best option after a major update is a hard reset. It's a bit of a pain, but it's recommended every so often anyway.

I'd take it to a Verizon store and see if they can put the base image back on the phone to prove it's the update that is causing the issue.

If the store is even capable of flashing the factory software, they will only be able to load the newest version of the OS which came with the OTA. A factory reset without restoring the settings and applications will accomplish the same thing.

Were you able to get this fixed? I am having the same problems, my phone is not charging at all like it used to before and the battery drains quit quickly. Need help!

Sadly at this point, no, it has not been resolved. I am currently doing the things suggested above, but still at a stand still!

None of the above has worked. I'm still in the same position, dead battery and terrible time trying to charge!

Since as been posted you cannot roll it back to the former OS

I would recommend calling Samsung Customer Service since they are the bozos that did the update they received from Google.

Maybe they can fix the issue.

A battery drain issue would not be the fault of the carrier. Samsung would have to send out a patch to fix the update. But they may be able to take your device (you will get it back) and flash the eprom to a stable condition.
