My galaxy has recently started saying vzwavsservice has stopped working. Does anyone know what it is or how to fix it.

Mine says the same thing. I went to Verizon and to Best Buy Samsung division, and they said it must be a glitch after I did the update. Have you recently updated your phone? The guys at Best Buy think that it has something to do with the Verizon Wireless navigation. They don't think it will cause any harm to just hit OK and dismiss the error message. I would like to see an answer other than that as well.
MindyLKey,I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this as well. It is a new issue that does not appear ot be presenting any harm. It is just a pre-installed system application that is malfunctioning. In some scenario's going into the app manager in the settings, and then clearing the cache/data and force stopping the app has resolved it. Let us know how it goes! It is ridiculous that Verizon adds such software to its Android phones, yet they don't provide any support when it fails.
