Bogus "Insufficient storage available" error preventing app updates...

My Android phone (Motorola Moto G) reports 413MB of free storage space, but is

unable to update a 2MB app, citing "Insufficient storage available". 

I've used an app called Clean Master (v. 5.7.0.1715, by Cheetah Mobile) that I previously installed to delete

lots of unneeded files and free up lots of space, but to no avail.

Any ideas?
